Our client in the manufacturing sector is currently seeking to appoint an experienced Branch Financial Accountant to join their team based in Kraaifontein Industria, Cape Town.

Requirements
BCom Degree in Accounting or similar qualification
Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar accounting role
(Commercial / dealership industry experience advantageous)
Code 8 driver’s licence
Strong understanding of general ledger, trial balance, and reconciliations
Confident, proactive approach with strong problem-solving skills
Approachable, professional, and collaborative working style
Team player with a positive and respectful attitude
Responsibilities
Banking and Cash Management
Process daily bank transactions and perform reconciliations
Load and manage payments via internet banking
Manage petty cash, receipts, and daily processing
Bank excess cash when required
Reconcile COD accounts and prepare payment documentation
Creditors & Debtors Control
Process expenses and reconcile creditors documentation
Ensure creditors are paid within agreed terms
Monitor debtor accounts, follow up on outstanding payments
Send month-end statements and resolve customer queries
Workshop, WIP and Warranty
Monitor WIP and warranty documentation flow
Liaise with workshop teams to ensure accurate reporting
Prepare daily workshop productivity reports and discuss improvements
Financial Reporting & Reconciliations
Prepare and analyse income statements, balance sheets, and budgets
Perform balance sheet and general ledger reconciliations
Ensure trial balance accuracy at all times
Prepare departmental and DP meeting reports
Assets, Internal Accounts and Compliance
Maintain fixed asset registers, audits, and capex applications
Prepare internal account reconciliations and payment requests
Manage vehicle maintenance plan bookkeeping and invoicing
Prepare sundry invoices and submit to finance
Ensure strict adherence to company policies, procedures, and asset control
Maintain excellent filing, housekeeping, and time management standards
Business Support and Collaboration
Engage in regular discussions with department managers
Provide insights, reporting support, and financial guidance
Support management with ad-hoc financial exercises
Contribute to continuous improvement and skills development within the team
