Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day financial operations and reporting activities.
- Prepare and review monthly management accounts.
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow reporting.
- Ensure accurate month-end and year-end close processes.
- Perform financial analysis and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Maintain strong financial controls and compliance procedures.
- Assist with audit processes and statutory reporting requirements.
- Partner with operational stakeholders to support business performance.
- Drive process improvements and efficiencies across the finance function.
Requirements
- BCom Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a Financial Controller, Senior Accountant, or similar role.
- Strong financial reporting, management accounting, and budgeting experience.
- Advanced Excel skills and strong systems knowledge.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Essential
- Immediately available or available on short notice.
- Able to commit to a 12–18 month fixed-term contract.
- Based in Cape Town or able to commute to the City Bowl.
