Financial Accountant to join a multinational business where you will gain exposure to listed group reporting, IFRS technical accounting, consolidations, FP&A, and strategic finance initiatives.
This role is ideally suited to a candidate who has completed Articles and is looking to expand their commercial experience within a sophisticated finance environment. Working alongside experienced finance leaders, you will play a key role in financial reporting, tax compliance, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis across multiple entities.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Technical Accounting
- Prepare and support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting requirements.
- Assist with statutory reporting and the preparation of financial statements within a listed group environment.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS reporting standards and contribute to technical accounting matters, including IFRS 3.
- Maintain the accuracy, integrity, and completeness of financial information.
Consolidations & Group Reporting
- Assist with consolidations across multiple entities within the group structure.
- Support intercompany accounting and reconciliation processes.
- Ensure consistency and accuracy of financial information submitted across business units.
- Contribute to reporting projects and initiatives aimed at improving reporting quality and efficiency.
Tax & Compliance
- Assist with Income Tax and VAT compliance and reporting requirements.
- Prepare tax reconciliations and supporting schedules.
- Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Support external audit processes and liaise with auditors where required.
Budgeting, Forecasting & Financial Analysis
- Contribute to budgeting and forecasting processes across the group.
- Perform variance analysis against budgets, forecasts, and actual results.
- Support financial planning and analysis activities through meaningful reporting and business insights.
- Analyse business performance and identify opportunities to improve profitability and efficiency.
Financial Control & Process Improvement
- Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations.
- Support financial control, governance, and compliance initiatives.
- Assist with continuous improvement projects focused on reporting efficiency and financial accuracy.
- Contribute to the enhancement of finance processes and reporting frameworks.
Stakeholder Management
- Partner with finance and operational teams across the business.
- Support management reporting and provide financial insights where required.
- Collaborate with group finance stakeholders on reporting, audit, and strategic initiatives.
- Build strong relationships across multiple business units.
Requirements
Qualifications
- BCom Accounting, Finance, or related qualification.
- Completed SAICA or SAIPA Articles.
- CA(SA) candidates or professionals pursuing registration will be highly regarded.
Experience
- 1-3 years' post-articles commercial experience.
- Exposure to financial reporting, tax, and management accounting functions.
- Experience within manufacturing, publishing, FMCG, or other complex multi-entity environments will be advantageous.
- Previous exposure to a multinational or listed group environment will be beneficial.
