Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join a dynamic and growing organisation. This role offers the opportunity to play a key part in maintaining financial integrity, driving process improvements, and supporting strategic decision-making across the business.
Key Responsibilities :
- Prepare and assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
- Maintain the general ledger and ensure all reconciliations are accurate and up to date.
- Process journal entries, accruals, and provisions.
- Support the preparation of management accounts, annual financial statements, and tax-related reporting
- Reconcile bank accounts, debtors, and creditors.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable activities.
- Ensure financial transactions are processed accurately and within required timelines.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Investigate and report on variances between actual and budgeted performance.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business objectives.
- Perform cost accounting activities and profitability assessments.
- Analyse financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
- Deliver meaningful insights to support commercial decision-making.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Professional qualification through SAICA or CIMA.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a Financial Accountant role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, automation, integrations, and complex functions
