An exciting opportunity has become available for an ambitious Financial Accountant to join a dynamic multinational group. This role is ideally suited to a finance professional who enjoys working with complex group structures, intercompany transactions, and multi-entity consolidations while developing deeper expertise in financial reporting and technical accounting.
Working alongside experienced finance leaders, you will play a critical role in the preparation of consolidated financial information, group reporting, statutory compliance, and financial analysis across multiple entities.

Key Responsibilities
Group Reporting & Consolidations
- Prepare and support monthly, quarterly, and annual group consolidations across multiple entities.
- Manage intercompany reconciliations and eliminate intercompany transactions within the consolidation process.
- Ensure accurate and timely submission of financial information from business units across the group.
- Support the preparation of consolidated financial statements within a listed and multinational reporting environment.
- Assist with reporting requirements relating to acquisitions, disposals, and group restructuring activities.
- Maintain reporting integrity and consistency across all reporting entities.
- Participate in projects aimed at improving group reporting processes and consolidation methodologies.
Financial Reporting & Technical Accounting
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Support statutory reporting requirements and annual financial statement preparation.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS and group accounting policies.
- Assist with technical accounting matters, including exposure to complex standards such as IFRS 3 and business combinations.
- Maintain the accuracy and integrity of financial information throughout the reporting cycle.
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes across multiple entities.
- Perform variance analysis and provide meaningful commentary on business performance.
- Assist with financial modelling, performance analysis, and management reporting.
- Identify trends and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
Tax, Compliance & Controls
- Assist with Income Tax and VAT compliance requirements.
- Prepare tax reconciliations and supporting schedules.
- Support internal and external audit processes.
- Assist in strengthening financial controls, governance frameworks, and reporting processes.
- Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations across various entities.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Partner with finance teams across multiple business units and jurisdictions.
- Liaise with auditors and group reporting stakeholders.
- Support management reporting and ad hoc financial analysis requests.
- Build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders across the group structure.
Requirements
Qualifications
- BCom Accounting, Finance, or related qualification.
- Completed SAICA or SAIPA Articles.
- CA(SA) candidates or professionals pursuing registration will be highly regarded.
Experience
- 1-3 years' post-articles commercial experience.
- Strong exposure to:
- Multi-entity reporting
- Group consolidations
- Intercompany reconciliations
- Financial reporting
- Management accounting
- Experience within multinational, listed, FMCG, manufacturing, publishing, or other complex group environments will be highly advantageous.
