A leading and long-standing organisation within the metals and manufacturing industry is seeking a skilled Financial Manager to join its finance leadership team. This role offers exposure to a complex operational environment, where strong financial control, cost management, and strategic reporting are essential.The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the full financial management function, partnering with operational stakeholders to improve profitability, and ensuring accurate reporting aligned to business objectives. This is an ideal role for a hands-on finance leader who thrives in an industrial setting and is confident working with production, supply chain, and plant operations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and oversee monthly management accounts, reporting, and variance analysis
- Drive budgeting, forecasting, and cost control initiatives across the plant environment
- Manage working capital, cash flow forecasting, and financial performance reporting
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, governance, and statutory requirements
- Partner with operational teams to improve efficiencies, profitability, and margin performance
Job Experience and Skills Required:
- ACMA CGMA qualification is essential
- Minimum 5–8 years’ experience in a Financial Manager / Finance Manager role
- Experience within manufacturing, metals, heavy industry, or engineering sectors is highly advantageous
- Strong operational finance experience including costings, stock management, and production reporting
- Advanced Excel skills and strong ERP exposure (SAP / Syspro / Sage or similar)
- Strong leadership skills with ability to manage and develop a finance team
- High attention to detail, deadline-driven, and commercially astute
