Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the month-end close process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting
- Prepare, review, and analyse management accounts with clear commentary on business performance
- Analyse sales, cost of goods sold, gross profit, and operating expenses to support decision-making
- Manage accruals, provisions, and balance sheet reconciliations in line with IFRS requirements
- Prepare and post journals ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strong financial control
- Perform detailed variance analysis against budget, forecast, and prior year, identifying key drivers
- Drive budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning processes across business units
- Conduct pricing, margin, and profitability analysis to support commercial decision-making
- Partner with business stakeholders to support performance tracking and strategic planning
- Support audit processes, including preparation of audit files and resolution of audit queries
Qualifications:
- Matric (Grade 12)
- CA(SA) or CIMA qualified (essential)
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Experience:
- Minimum 3+ years post-articles experience in a commercial finance role
- Strong background in management accounting and financial reporting
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
- Solid understanding of IFRS and Companies Act requirements
- Experience in FMCG or pharmaceutical environments advantageous
- Exposure to working in a matrix or multinational organisation preferred
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP advantageous)
