Key Responsibilities

Financial Control & Reporting

• Lead the accounting function and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial information.
• Manage the month-end reporting and financial close processes.
• Review financial results and provide meaningful analysis to support decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with group reporting standards, accounting policies, and regulatory requirements.

Team Leadership

• Oversee and support the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams.
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Coach and develop team members to ensure high levels of performance and engagement.

Internal Controls & Governance

• Drive and maintain a best-practice internal control environment.
• Review, strengthen, and document finance processes and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, governance standards, and audit requirements.
• Identify and mitigate financial and operational risks.

Process Improvement & Automation

• Analyse existing processes and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements.
• Drive automation initiatives and process enhancements across the finance function.
• Support continuous improvement projects aimed at improving reporting accuracy and operational effectiveness.
• Partner with stakeholders to implement scalable and sustainable finance solutions.

Systems & ERP Optimisation

• Act as the Finance Super User within the organisation's integrated ERP environment.
• Support ERP optimisation initiatives and finance-related implementation projects.
• Assist with systems enhancements and the adoption of best-practice finance processes.
• Ensure finance systems effectively support business growth and reporting requirements.

Business Partnering

• Partner with senior leadership to provide financial insight and support strategic decision-making.
• Assist with financial analysis, business performance reviews, and commercial initiatives.
• Build strong relationships across the organisation to support operational and financial objectives.

Requirements

Qualifications

• BCom Accounting, BCom Honours, or equivalent qualification.
• Completed Articles.

Experience

• Minimum 2 years' relevant commercial finance experience.
• Experience within financial reporting, accounting, or financial control functions.
• Exposure to process improvement, controls, and finance operations.
• Experience working within a complex or multinational environment will be advantageous.

Technical Skills

• Strong financial reporting and accounting knowledge.
• Understanding of internal controls, governance, and compliance principles.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience working with ERP systems and systems optimisation initiatives.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
