Job Summary
A respected manufacturing business based in Boksburg is seeking a Cost Accountant to join its finance team. This role offers the opportunity to play a key part in maintaining costing accuracy, driving profitability analysis, and partnering with operational stakeholders to improve business performance.
The successful candidate will have exposure to critical manufacturing finance functions, including Bills of Materials (BOMs), cost analysis, inventory costing, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and review product costing and standard costing models.
- Analyse and manage Bills of Materials (BOMs) to ensure costing accuracy.
- Perform cost analysis and provide recommendations to improve profitability.
- Assist with inventory valuation and manufacturing cost reporting.
- Prepare monthly costing reports and management information.
- Monitor cost variances and investigate discrepancies.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
- Partner with production and operational teams on cost-saving initiatives.
Job Experience and Skills Required
- BCom Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CIMA qualification in progress, with a minimum of Strategic Level completed.
- Minimum 4 years' relevant Cost Accounting experience.
- Manufacturing industry experience is essential.
- Strong understanding of product costing, BOMs, and inventory costing.
- Proven analytical and reporting skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills will be advantageous.
- Strong business partnering and stakeholder management abilities.
