senior management role within the credit function, where you’ll have real influence over credit decisions, policies, and team performance. You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders across the business, ensuring the right balance between
commercial growth and responsible lending.

Key Responsibilities
- Review and approve complex commercial credit proposals while balancing profitability and risk.
- Lead and mentor credit and collections teams to maintain strong portfolio quality.
- Develop and implement credit policies, approval frameworks, and risk guidelines.
- Oversee debt recovery strategies and manage escalated or high-risk accounts.
- Monitor credit granting processes and assess customer creditworthiness.
- Ensure compliance with governance frameworks and internal policies.
- Prepare and present management information and reporting.
- Track and improve departmental performance using relevant credit and risk metrics.
Job Experience and Skills Required
Education:- Degree in Commerce, Finance, or a related field.
- MBA or postgraduate qualification advantageous.
Experience:- Senior-level experience in credit risk and collections management.
- Proven leadership experience managing credit or collections teams.
- Exposure to retail, asset, or vehicle finance environments.
- Strong credit approval and portfolio management experience.
Skills:- Excellent financial and credit analysis capability.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Solid understanding of credit governance and risk frameworks.
- Comfortable presenting and defending credit decisions at senior level.
- Proficiency in financial and reporting systems.
Other Requirements
- Comfortable working in a commercially driven environment.
- Able to make firm, well-reasoned credit decisions — even when the sales team is very persuasive.
