Job Summary
In order to be considered the following is required:
- Degree in a relevant field (NQF 7 or above)
- 8+ years’ experience in programme/project management
- Extensive knowledge of foreign payments (SWIFT, ISO 20022, AML/CTF, exchange control)
- Preferably registered with a professional body (e.g., PMSA, PMI)
- Banking industry exposure and experience in multinational corporate settings
- Proven ability to build stakeholder relationships across diverse contexts
- Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, timelines and complex programmes
- Expertise in risk and compliance frameworks
- Familiarity with cross-border payment systems and regulatory requirements
- Proficiency in programme governance methodologies (PMI, PRINCE2, Agile)
- Ability to influence and collaborate at executive level
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement change strategies aligned with project and business objectives
- Deploy integrated risk management, governance, and compliance frameworks across programmes
- Manage and coach teams to achieve performance targets and human capital objectives
- Demonstrate leadership through values-driven behaviours and visible commitment
- Compile actionable reports and dashboards to guide informed business decisions
- Apply strategic thinking to delivery plans in partnership with leadership
- Oversee multiple related projects ensuring alignment with organisational goals
- Build strong stakeholder relationships to enable thought leadership and innovation
- Enable delivery of customer service solutions aligned to brand and service standards
- Prepare portfolio-level reports tracking progress and guiding decision-making
- Own budgeting, forecasting and variance reporting; ensure financial discipline
- Monitor project progress, resolve issues promptly and maintain client service continuity
- Design integrated programme plans, identify resources, manage risks and ensure successful operationalisation
- Commit to continuous professional development as a life-long learner
