This role sits at the heart of a high-performing engineering environment, focused on building and maintaining robust integrations across internal platforms, payment systems, and third-party services. You will work across API-led and event-driven architectures, ensuring systems communicate efficiently, securely, and reliably in a fast-paced, production-critical environment.

You will contribute to the full integration lifecycle, from defining contracts and schemas to building middleware components and ensuring operational resilience. The environment demands strong problem-solving capability, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams to deliver stable, scalable solutions.

What You’ll Do

• Design and implement secure integrations across APIs, payment platforms, and third-party systems
• Define integration contracts, schemas, mappings, and error handling models
• Build middleware services, connectors, and orchestration workflows
• Implement transformation logic across diverse data formats and systems
• Ensure resilience through retries, monitoring, reconciliation, and alerting
• Collaborate with security and platform teams on compliance and best practices
• Investigate incidents and drive root cause resolution and preventative improvements
• Support CI/CD pipelines and integration release processes

What You Bring

• Strong experience in API integration and contract-first design (OpenAPI, versioning)
• Solid understanding of messaging and enterprise integration patterns
• Knowledge of secure integration practices including OAuth2 concepts
• Experience troubleshooting distributed systems using logs, metrics, and traces
• Familiarity with CI/CD, Git workflows, and multi-team delivery environments
• 4–6+ years (Intermediate) or 7–10+ years (Senior) in integration engineering
• Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• Exposure to payments environments and security standards is advantageous
