SENIOR ASSOCIATE: Direct Credit Fund | Cape Town, SA (Private Equity | Infrastructure | Renewable Energy)

Our Client, a leading impact-focused Private Equity Infrastructure Investment firm that is expanding its Credit Fund team is offering this standout opportunity for an experienced investment professional to play a key role in structuring and executing complex renewable energy transactions with real community impact.

You will sit at the intersection of project finance, private equity and impact investing, working on high-value transactions linked to REIPPPP renewable energy projects (Solar, Wind & BESS), with a strong focus on Community Investment Vehicles (CIVs).

Key Responsibilities:

• Origination, structuring & execution of refinancing and structured credit transactions
• Building and running advanced financial models
• Leading commercial & financial due diligence workstreams
• Preparing and presenting investment & credit papers
• Engaging with key stakeholders including IPPs, lenders, advisors & industry bodies
• Supporting deal execution from initial pitch through to close
• Contributing to investment strategy and impact objectives

Qualification, Skills & Experience Required:

• MBA, CA (SA) or CFA would be advantageous
• 7-8+ years’ experience in Project Finance / Infrastructure PE / Investment Banking
• 4+ years direct credit experience
• Advanced financial modelling & analytical skills is essential
• Strong track record in executing transactions in private markets
• Solid understanding of renewable energy (Solar, Wind, BESS)
• Proven due diligence experience in community projects, along with experience deploying funds into communities, is highly advantageous
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced, deal-driven environment
