Job Summary
Manage audit and independent review engagements from planning through to finalisation
Review audit files, working papers, annual financial statements, and supporting documentation
Lead, mentor, and develop audit trainees and junior audit staff
Ensure engagements are completed within budget, deadlines, and professional standards
Liaise directly with clients, directors, and senior management
Identify audit risks, technical issues, and file deficiencies timeously
Assist with audit planning, resource allocation, and staff development
Monitor audit progress and resolve operational bottlenecks
Ensure compliance with firm methodology, quality control requirements, and professional standards
Collaborate closely with the Head of Audit and broader management team
Skills & Experience:
Relevant post‑articles experience within an audit firm environment
Strong technical knowledge of auditing, accounting, and financial reporting standards
Experience managing audit teams and reviewing audit files
CaseWare experience - advantageous
Experience with Xero and cloud-based accounting systems advantageous
Strong planning, organisational, and deadline-management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to engage professionally with clients and stakeholders
Qualification:
Relevant Accounting or Audit Qualification
Completed SAICA articles
