Job Summary
Duties include:
- Generate business from new and existing customers while developing strong and healthy business relationships.
- Direct selling to customers and generating new sales leads.
- Visiting assigned customers according to planned calling schedules.
- Preparing budgets, estimated potential and planned profitability per customer.
- Actively promoting the sales of products to existing customers and researching new market opportunities.
- Prepare and present with Power Point presentations
- Obtain enquiries, prepare quotations and follow up to conclusion.
- Develop leads on other Manufacturing Products
- Maintain an updated customer data base.
- Obtain information on competitors’ products, pricing policies and business strategies
Qualifications and Experience
- Matric
- Experience in Electric Motor, Automation and Control Gear and Related Products.
- Formal electrical qualification – recognised apprenticeship / related diploma or at least 10 years sales experience.
- Good level of computer literacy, specifically MS. Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Good negotiating and presentation skills.
- Drivers licence.
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
- Must be able to communicate clearly and concisely, orally and in writing, including formal communication and making presentations.
- Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
- A sense of urgency with a strong customer service orientation.
- Willingness and freedom to travel extensively, including frequent overnight stays away from home base.
- Living in relatively close proximity to the Steelpoort, Burgersfort and Polokwane area is a must
