Education:
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant technical qualification
Job Experience & Skills Required:
- Minimum 4+ years of experience in technical sales within power transmission, mechanical components, or industrial equipment
- Solid understanding of gearboxes, motors, bearings, couplings, sprockets, chains, and drive systems
- Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding sales targets in a competitive environment
- Ability to confidently interpret technical specifications and provide fit-for-purpose solutions
- Strong client engagement skills with the ability to influence decision-makers
- Experience working with clients in mining, FMCG, manufacturing, or engineering sectors
- Commercially driven, proactive, and solutions-focused
- Valid driver’s license with a willingness to travel
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive new business development and expand market share within the power transmission sector
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with clients
- Deliver tailored technical solutions aligned to customer operational needs
- Compile detailed quotations, proposals, and tenders with a strong value proposition
- Conduct site visits, product presentations, and technical consultations
- Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell within existing accounts
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity to stay ahead
