The Opportunity
Join a team that delivers solutions for some of the most demanding industrial and mining environments in Africa. You'll work alongside experienced engineers and project specialists on systems that move thousands of tonnes of material every hour.This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys understanding how materials behave, identifying bottlenecks, improving system performance, and delivering designs that stand the test of time.
What You'll Be Doing
- Designing and developing bulk materials handling systems for industrial and mining applications.
- Contributing to conveyor, chute, hopper, feeder, transfer point, and storage facility designs.
- Performing engineering calculations and preparing technical specifications.
- Supporting equipment selection and evaluating supplier proposals.
- Participating in project execution from concept design through commissioning.
- Assisting with troubleshooting and optimisation of existing systems.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering and project teams.
- Conducting site visits and engaging directly with clients and stakeholders.
What You'll Bring
- BEng, BSc, or BTech in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 3 years' experience within Bulk Materials Handling, Mining, Minerals Processing, EPCM, or Heavy Industrial Projects.
- Exposure to conveyor systems and associated materials handling equipment.
- Strong technical problem-solving abilities.
- A practical approach to engineering challenges.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A desire to develop into a recognised specialist within the Bulk Materials Handling field.
