Job & Company Description:
As a Solar Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, engaging with commercial and industrial clients, and developing technically sound solar energy solutions tailored to customer needs. You will manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting and proposal development through to project handover, while building long-term client relationships and contributing to business growth.
This role is ideal for an individual who enjoys both the technical and commercial aspects of renewable energy and is passionate about delivering value-driven energy solutions.
Education:
- BTech, National Diploma, or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field
- Solar PV certifications will be advantageous
Job Experience & Skills Required:
- Minimum 3–5 years' experience in solar PV sales or renewable energy business development
- Strong understanding of solar PV systems, inverters, battery storage, and energy solutions
- Experience preparing technical proposals, quotations, and feasibility assessments
- Proven track record in achieving sales targets and generating new business
- Ability to engage with commercial, industrial, and residential clients
- Knowledge of energy savings calculations and return-on-investment analysis
- Experience conducting site assessments and client presentations
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills
- Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel to client sites
