Job Summary
A leading South African manufacturing organisation is looking for an experienced National Planning & Data Optimisation Manager with strong experience in data analytics, national planning, forecasting, and people management to join their team. This role focuses on driving data-driven decision-making, improving planning accuracy, and optimising operational performance across the business.
Responsibilities:
Analyse operational, production, supply chain, and financial data to identify trends and improvement opportunities
Develop, maintain, and manage dashboards and reports using business intelligence tools
Manage and query SQL databases and integrate data from ERP and planning systems
Lead national production and inventory planning aligned to capacity and demand
Improve forecasting accuracy and inventory performance
Identify and implement cost-saving and efficiency improvement initiatives
Develop optimisation models and scenario analyses to support decision-making
Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, supply chain, finance, and IT teams
Implement data-driven solutions and ensure continuous monitoring and refinement
Manage, coach, and develop team members to ensure effective execution
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Data Analytics, Supply Chain, Business Intelligence, or a related field
Proven experience in managing and leading people
3–7 years’ experience in data analytics, production planning, or operations optimisation
Strong proficiency in Power BI, SQL, ERP systems, and planning/optimisation tools
Solid understanding of manufacturing and planning environments
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
