? FINANCIAL MANAGER / SENIOR FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT – WINDHOEK, NAMIBIA

Our client is looking for an experienced Financial Manager / Senior Financial Accountant to take responsibility for the financial operations of the business, ensuring strong financial controls, accurate reporting, effective cash-flow management and sound commercial decision-making.

? KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

You will take ownership of a broad finance portfolio, including:

• Financial accounting and full General Ledger management
• Monthly management accounts and financial reporting
• Budgeting, forecasting and financial planning
• Cash-flow, treasury and bank reconciliations
• Accounts receivable, credit control and debtor management
• Accounts payable and vendor management
• Manufacturing costing and inventory accounting
• Stock reconciliations, stock counts and obsolete/slow-moving stock
• VAT, tax and statutory compliance
• Balance sheet reconciliations and financial controls
• IFRS 16 lease accounting
• Audit preparation and annual financial statements
• Financial analysis and providing meaningful insights to management
• Supervising, mentoring and managing the finance team
• Ensuring compliance with Group financial policies, controls and governance requirements
• Working closely with Sales, Operations and other business functions to improve financial performance

? Minimum Requirements:

✅ Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
✅ 8+ years' finance experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment
✅ At least 2 years' costing experience
✅ Strong financial management, reporting, budgeting and forecasting experience
✅ Hands-on SAP experience – essential
✅ Advanced Excel skills
✅ Strong understanding of inventory, costing and financial controls
✅ Experience managing and developing finance staff
✅ Sound understanding of tax, statutory reporting, audit and corporate governance
✅ Strong analytical, numerical and problem-solving abilities
✅ Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Professional qualification such as CA(SA), ACCA, CIMA, SAIPA or equivalent will be advantageous.
