Job Title: General Manager – Africa
Location: Johannesburg, Gauteng | Extensive African travel
A leading technical services organisation is seeking an experienced General Manager to drive business growth, profitability and operational excellence across multiple African markets.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead business strategy, financial performance and regional operations.
Drive business development, major tenders and contract negotiations.
Oversee multi-country projects, equipment utilisation and operational efficiency.
Champion safety, risk management and regulatory compliance.
Lead organisational integration, talent development and technology-driven growth.
Build strategic client relationships and report on business performance.
Minimum Requirements:
Relevant degree in Engineering, Mining, Business or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
12+ years’ relevant industry experience, including at least 5 years in senior management.
Proven P&L accountability, business development and contract-winning experience.
Strong commercial, financial and operational leadership capabilities.
Experience managing projects and teams across multiple countries.
Valid passport and driver’s licence, with willingness to travel extensively across Africa.
