- Qualified Fitter Trade Test (Red Seal / Section 13 or Section 26D)
- N2 Engineering Studies (advantageous)

- Computer literacy (MS Office and CMMS/SAP PM experience advantageous)
- Valid Medical Certificate or medically fit to obtain
Experience:
Minimum 3 years' post-trade experience in gold processing plants. Experience in maintaining crushers, screens, conveyors, and more. Knowledge in planned maintenance systems, condition monitoring, and plant reliability.Duties and Responsibilities:
- Mechanical Maintenance: Perform preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance. Attend to plant breakdowns and diagnose faults.
- Planned Maintenance: Complete scheduled maintenance, execute work orders, and provide accurate feedback.
- Reliability Improvement: Identify recurring failures and recommend improvements.
- Safety: Comply with regulations, conduct risk assessments, and maintain safety standards.
- Quality: Ensure maintenance work meets standards and equipment is fit for service.
- Teamwork: Collaborate with team members and mentor apprentices.
Knowledge Required:
Sound knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, gold processing plant operations, pumps, conveyors, and more.Competencies:
Technical skills: Fault finding, maintenance planning, equipment installation. Behavioural skills: Safety conscious, problem-solving, communication, teamwork.Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

Working Conditions:
Rotational shifts, standby duties, work at heights, exposure to dust, noise, and vibration. Physically demanding role requiring PPE.Advantageous Certifications:
