Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Production Manager from the Automotive / Metal Manufacturing / Stamping industry to lead and manage production operations within a high-volume manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily production operations to ensure output, quality, delivery, and cost targets are achieved
- Lead production teams including Foremen / Supervisors within a high-volume manufacturing plant
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives including Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and process optimisation
- Monitor KPIs, investigate root causes, and implement corrective actions
- Oversee production planning, materials management, inventory, and preventative maintenance
- Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and housekeeping standards (5S)
- Manage customer complaints, audits, and corrective action processes
- Lead employee development, succession planning, and training initiatives
- Manage production in a unionised environment
Minimum Requirements:
- Engineering Degree / Diploma or Diploma in Production Management preferred
- Minimum 5 years’ production experience in Automotive / Metal Manufacturing / Stamping
- Minimum 3 years in a Production Management role
- Experience managing large teams in a unionised manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement, and operational excellence
