Job Summary
Urgent vacancy for an Automotive Claims Assessor
Duties:
- Claim Evaluation: Adjudicating and verifying the validity of a claim against the claimant's specific insurance policy or statutory guidelines (like the Compensation Fund or RAF).Investigation: Gathering necessary evidence, such as medical reports, police statements, and photos, to determine the exact extent of damages or liability.
- Asset & Payout Valuation: Assessing the value of damaged or stolen assets, and determining whether repairs, replacements, or financial compensation is required.
- Policy Analysis: Interpreting policy terms, conditions, and exclusions to identify what is covered and what must be rejected.
- Third-Party Liaison: Communicating with claimants, medical professionals, mechanics, and legal entities to resolve complex case
- Administration & Processing: Capturing claim data, managing records, processing invoices, and authorizing payouts according to approved financial delegations.
- Risk Assessment: Evaluating potential moral risks and advising on risk improvements to prevent future incident
Requirements:
- Experience as Claims Assessor
- Must have experience in the automotive industry with brands like Ford, VW, Audi, BMW etc
- Grade 12
- Motor Mechanic Trade certificate
- Experience as a Diagnostic Technician / Master Technician
- Vehicle Dealership experience
