Job Summary
We are looking for a technically minded and highly organized Spare Parts Shipping Controller to join our team in Muizenberg. This is a critical role that bridges the gap between technical requirements and logistics. You will be responsible for the end-to-end procurement and distribution of electronic components used in consumer electronics.
Key Responsibilities
- Parts Procurement: Accurately identify and order specific electronic components (PCBs, capacitors, screens, etc.) based on technical specs.
- Shipping & Logistics: Manage the inbound and outbound flow of parts, including tracking international and local shipments.
- Inventory Control: Maintain optimal stock levels, perform regular audits, and ensure parts are correctly coded in the system.
- Supplier Liaison: Communicate with local and overseas vendors to negotiate lead times and resolve supply chain bottlenecks.
- Quality Assurance: Verify that received parts match technical orders to prevent repair delays.
What We’re Looking For
- Technical Knowledge: A solid understanding of electronic components is non-negotiable. You should know your way around a spec sheet.
- Experience: Proven experience in procurement, shipping, or inventory control within a technical or electronics environment.
- Maturity: We require a disciplined, self-managed individual with the professional maturity to handle high-pressure deadlines and complex logistics.
- Systems: Proficiency in MS Excel and inventory management software (NetSuite).
- Location: Ideally based in or near Muizenberg to ensure reliable attendance.
