Job Summary
Role Title: Data Streaming Platform Engineer (Advanced)
Essential Skills Requirements:
- Sound knowledge in Kotlin, Java, JavaScript, Python, or C#
- Experience with Microservices, Cloud Architectures, and Container Architectures (e.g., Docker)
- Proficiency in developing solutions on public cloud platforms like Microsoft Azure and AWS
- Familiarity with Container Orchestration Platforms (e.g., Kubernetes)
- Experience in backend application and service development
- Business-oriented mindset with a focus on meeting business goals
- Understanding of technology integration
Advantageous Skills Requirements:
- Knowledge of event streaming (e.g., Apache Kafka)
- Experience with GitOps technologies (e.g., ArgoCD, Flux)
- Expertise with Helm in deploying and managing applications on Kubernetes clusters
- Familiarity with Data Modeling and Database technologies (e.g., Postgres, Influx)
- Experience in securing cloud environments
- Operations (DevOps) based on a standby roster
- ITIL certification and process knowledge
- Understanding of BI Tools
- Proficiency in Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
- Experience with Continuous Integration and Delivery tools (e.g., GitHub, GitLab, Terraform, Ansible)
- Coordination between development and support environments
Qualifications/Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or equivalent work experience
Responsibilities:
- Running business critical services in cloud environments
- Usage of automation tools for monitoring and observing software reliability
- Handling incidents and changes within defined SLAs
- Collaborating in a team environment to improve services throughout the Software Development Life Cycle
- Managing projects and processes
- Supporting Product in an Agile approach by managing User Stories
- Assisting in shaping the Product roadmap
- Identification and management of risks
- Requirements management, including elicitation, translation, documentation, planning, and monitoring.
