The Revenue Lead plays a critical role in driving commercial success across the portfolio by ensuring that pricing strategies, inventory management, and distribution channels are optimized to maximise revenue and profitability.
The Maintenance Lead is responsible for the effective planning, coordination, and execution of all maintenance activities across two properties in Botswana. This role ensures that all buildings, equipment, utilities, and infrastructure are maintained to the highest operational and safety standards while supporting an exceptional guest experience.
The successful candidate will oversee preventative and corrective maintenance, manage maintenance teams, and ensure compliance with all health, safety, and statutory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all maintenance operations across both properties.
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules for buildings, equipment, and infrastructure.
- Ensure all electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and general maintenance systems are operating efficiently.
- Diagnose and resolve maintenance issues promptly to minimise operational downtime.
- Manage maintenance budgets, stock levels, and procurement of maintenance materials.
- Supervise contractors and ensure work is completed to company standards.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance requirements and safety risks.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and statutory regulations.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, service logs, and compliance documentation.
- Support operational departments by responding to maintenance requests efficiently.
- Travel regularly between both properties to oversee maintenance activities and team performance.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
- Relevant qualification or trade certification in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related technical field.
- Additional certifications in maintenance, health and safety, or solar systems will be advantageous.
- 2–4 years' experience in a Maintenance Manager or similar maintenance leadership role, preferably within the hospitality, tourism, or facilities management industry.
- Experience managing preventative maintenance programmes and supervising maintenance teams.
- Excellent working knowledge of plumbing systems.
- Excellent working knowledge of electrical systems.
- Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge.
- Valid driver's licence with the ability to travel between both properties.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Good leadership, planning, and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
