Position Requirements |
- Assisting the Head Chef in the overall running of the kitchen department. - Being capable of running the kitchen department in its entirety while the Head Chef is on leave/absent. - Training the sous chef in new ideas when it comes to the preparation of 5* standard meals. - Menu planning: bringing fresh, new ideas forward with regards to menus. - Needs to have a good understanding of computers: kitchen admin and a good understanding of the lodge system will be essential. - Producing meals of a 5* standard for the lodge guests. - Menu planning for staff meals. - Orders/procurement for lodge food supplies. - Good communication skills within the team and with lodge food suppliers. - Always maintaining the 5* standard of the department. - Must possess good leadership skills to bring the kitchen department to the highest level. - Ensuring the highest standards in the fine details of plating and producing 5* dining experiences. - Proficient in staff training, stock taking, ordering, stock rotation, supervising, quality control, strong leadership skills etc.) - |

Salary |
Current salary: DOE. This salary will be excluding the provident fund contribution or medical aid contribution (R1 471.67) & gratuities (tips). |
