Job Title: Banqueting Coordinator

Job Purpose
To plan, coordinate, and execute all banqueting and event functions, ensuring seamless service delivery and exceptional guest experiences in line with the establishment’s standards.
Key Responsibilities
Event Coordination & Planning
Liaise with clients to understand event requirements (corporate functions, weddings, conferences, etc.)
Prepare event proposals, quotations, and contracts
Coordinate all event logistics including venue setup, décor, catering, and equipment
Conduct site inspections with clients where required
Operational Management
Oversee the execution of events from setup to breakdown
Ensure all departments (kitchen, housekeeping, F&B, maintenance) are aligned
Manage event timelines and ensure smooth flow of service
Handle last-minute changes or issues professionally
Client Relationship Management
Maintain strong relationships with clients and suppliers
Act as the main point of contact before, during, and after events
Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and handle complaints effectively
Administrative Duties
Maintain accurate records of bookings and event details
Prepare function sheets and distribute to relevant departments
Monitor budgets, costs, and billing accuracy
Assist with reporting and forecasting of banqueting revenue
Team Coordination
Brief banqueting staff on event requirements
Coordinate staffing levels with HR or Duty Managers
Supervise casual staff during functions where necessary
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications
Diploma or Degree in Hospitality Management, Events Management, or related field
Experience
2–4 years’ experience in banqueting, events coordination, or F&B operations
Experience in hotels, lodges, or conference venues preferred

Basic understanding of food and beverage operations
