PASTRY CHEF DE PARTIE
Salary: R17 000 per month
We are seeking a talented and passionate Pastry Chef de Partie to join a luxury hospitality team. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing exceptional pastry creations while maintaining the highest standards of quality, hygiene, and presentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain health, hygiene, and food safety standards.
- Control quality, quantity, and cost of all pastry items.
- Manage stock levels and communicate ingredient requirements to the Sous Chef.
- Ensure correct storage and handling of food in line with HACCP standards.
- Prepare fresh mise-en-place daily and ensure timely service.
- Maintain excellent presentation and portion control standards.
- Assist in optimizing kitchen efficiency while maintaining quality.
- Promote teamwork and a positive working environment.
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 and Chef Certificate/Diploma.
- 1–2 years' previous experience in a similar role.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a team.
- Professional approach with colleagues and distinguished clientele.
- Friendly, reliable, punctual, and adaptable.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and public holidays.
