The Club has an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, experienced Food and Beverage Manager to join the team. The incumbent will be responsible for the strategic and operational management of all guest-facing food and beverage services across the Club. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the Executive Chef to ensure the holistic success of the Club’s Food and Beverage objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all Front of House outlets (Bars, Service Areas, Halfway House, Beverage Cart, Retail Shop, Padel Restaurant and Driving Range Kiosk):
- Implement and develop service SOP’s
- Manage guest and member complaints effectively
- Ensure a thorough understanding of the guest and member journey
- Ensure consistency in service, quality and presentation
- Ensure Health and Safety Compliance
- Staff Management and Development – ensure high performance culture
- Beverage and retail oversight
- Develop beverage service standards, menus, promotions and upselling strategies
- Oversee stock, including stock control and storage practices
- Oversee shop operations – product selection, merchandising and sales targets
- Build strong supplier relationships
- Financial and administrative oversight of Front of House functions (budgeting, controls, financial reporting, costing, forecasting and measurements)
- Oversee and co-ordinate all events, functions and member engagements
- Strategic and innovative management of the Front of House outlets to ensure growth in profit
Requirements
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Hospitality Management / F&B Management or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior Food and Beverage or Front of House management role
- Experience in a country club, hotel or similar premium hospitality environment preferred
- Proven track record of managing multi-outlet Food and Beverage operations
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Proven experience in managing budgets and achieving GP targets
- High attention to detail and commitment to service excellence
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and influencing skills
- Proven experience in POS and stock management systems
- Sound knowledge of SA Labour Laws and OHS compliance
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, member and guest focussed environment
