SALES & ADMIN PERSON/ EAST LONDON
Minimum Requirements & Skills:
- Matric with at least two years’ previous experience in a sales, admin or ops environment.
- A relevant tertiary qualification will be an advantage.
- Must be computer literate in MS Office
- Code 08 driver’s license – EB (Code 8).
- Be a good communicator with a friendly can-do attitude that is flexible and works fast and accurate when dealing with customers, cash and related admin.
- Knowledge of Syspro, Star front and aluminium extrusions would be advantageous, but is not essential.
List of Responsibilities;
- Grow the customer base, ensuring regular additions and service them to meet sales and margin targets.
- Identify new customers, qualify their buying potential, and take necessary actions to secure their business.
- Ensure all customer requirements are attended to, such as quoting, invoicing, credit notes and any feedback required.
- Ensure correct processing of orders, quotations and capturing of manual delivery notes timeously.
- Develop detail product technical and Starfront knowledge to upsell and have a good customer experience.
- Educate and assist customers with technical inquiries and Starfront to help them win tenders and upsell additional or quality products.
- Take full responsibility for cash collected, speed point and EFT’s for all cash transactions processed by you until handed over correctly to the cash office for banking and verification by head office.
- Resolving all queries relating to pricing, back orders, credit notes and goods returned.
- Offering excellent customer service and feedback so that all expectations are managed.
- Assist the branch with admin functions (cash reconciliation, receiving of stock, filing).
- Maintain a proper filing system of key documents for quick and easy retrieval.
- Working proactively with Branch Manager to ensure the smooth functioning of the branch and prevent any losses.
- Familiarise yourself with and follow Standard Operating Procedures and abide by all Company policies and procedures.
- Participate in stock takes and perpetual counts and work overtime to prepare and complete such.
- Work overtime, after hours or weekends if and when required.
- Report any fraudulent, theft, collusive, suspicious, unproductive, malicious or instigative activities or attempts by any party.
- Embrace the company improvement program (20 Keys) to ensure good productivity, housekeeping, security and safety.
- Form an active part of the team, be back-up for other functions and perform any other task that may be required to support overall branch performance, productivity and as part of self-development.
- Starting Salary: Market related basic
