Our client in the Industrial and Manufacturing Sector is currently looking to employ an experienced Gauteng and Inland Sales Manager to join their team based in Kempton Park.
The successful candidate will be responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding market share, and managing key customer relationships across a critical inland region. This role combines new business development, key account management, and sales team leadership to strengthen the company’s competitive market position.
Requirements
Minimum 5–8 years’ proven B2B sales leadership experience
Experience within Industrial, Mining, FMCG, Engineering, or Technical product sectors
Strong track record in new business development (hunter profile)
Experience managing and leading a sales team
Strong commercial, negotiation, and communication skills
Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel
Strong understanding of sales strategy, forecasting, and pipeline management
Responsibilities
Sales Growth and Revenue Management
Deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for the region.
Drive growth across existing key accounts and new business segments.
Develop and implement a regional sales strategy aligned with company objectives.
Identify and convert opportunities across Industrial, Mining, FMCG, Engineering, and Manufacturing sectors.
Key Account Management
Manage and grow relationships with strategic customers.
Conduct regular client visits and performance reviews.
Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities.
Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
New Business Development
Identify and secure new customers and projects.
Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline.
Drive specification selling into OEMs and large end users.
Expand presence within the reseller market.
Team Leadership and Performance Management
Lead and manage sales team members (external and internal staff).
Set clear KPIs, targets, and performance metrics.
Conduct performance reviews and provide coaching and support.
Foster a high-performance sales culture.
Sales Operations and Forecasting
Maintain accurate sales forecasts and reporting.
Ensure CRM system compliance and data accuracy.
Collaborate with supply chain and operations teams.
Support pricing strategies aligned to margin and profitability targets.
