Job Title: Assistant Branch Manager – Hardware Store
Reports To: Branch Manager

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Branch Manager to support the daily operations of our hardware store. In this role, you will work closely with the Branch Manager to ensure smooth store operations, excellent customer service, team supervision, inventory control, and overall performance of the branch. The ideal candidate has retail experience, strong leadership skills, and a solid understanding of hardware and building supplies.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Branch Manager in overseeing daily store operations and staff management.
Supervise, train, and support sales associates and warehouse personnel.
Ensure excellent customer service is consistently delivered.
Monitor inventory levels, coordinate stock orders, and oversee stock replenishment.
Ensure proper merchandising, display, and cleanliness of the store.
Support the implementation of sales promotions and marketing strategies.
Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and returns in a professional manner.
Assist with scheduling, payroll input, and timekeeping accuracy.
Conduct daily and weekly reports (sales, inventory, staff performance, etc.).
Maintain compliance with health, safety, and store policies.
Step in for the Branch Manager during their absence.
Requirements:
Proven retail or hardware store experience (2+ years preferred).
