Our client a leader in the earthmoving equipment industry is seeking a qualified, highly experienced Sales Executive to join their team based in Durban.
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
The Sales Executive plays a crucial role in driving sales and revenue growth within a specific geographic area, and/or key accounts if allocated. This position involves strategic planning, customer relationship management, and a focus on achieving sales targets and objectives. The candidate must be ability to do business trips with overnight stays.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Grade 12
- Degree in Business Management, Marketing, or related field
- 3 - 5 Years Technical Sales Experience in Earthmoving
- Customer Relationship Management
- 3 - 5 Years Technical Acumen and Understanding Earthmoving
- 3 - 5 Years Understanding of Equipment Financing in Earthmoving
MAIN JOB FUNCTIONS
Sales Strategy Development and Sales Planning
- Promote and market the divisional products and services effectively and efficiently
- Create comprehensive sales plans and budgets, considering market trends and company objectives
- Monitor and analyse sales data to make informed decisions and adjustments to the sales plan
Customer Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, stakeholders, management and internal staff
- Address customer concerns and inquiries promptly, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction
- Identify and cultivate new business opportunities within the area
Ensure achievement of Sales Targets in line with business and targets allocated
- To ensure the successful achievement of monthly and annual targets by selling divisional products to customers and growing the market share on a continuous basis
- To manage his allocated area to optimise sales and grow categories underperforming is his area.
Efficient Administration and the ability complete all administration relating to his role
- To manage and utilise company systems to input all data relating to sales and keep efficient records of his role
- Management his calling programs, quotations, business opportunities or any other administration as required by the business
Understanding of data relating to the industry, including CONMESA statistics
- Utilise existing company data to increase sales to existing or dormant customers
- Ability to interpret all of data relating to the industry, including CONMESA statistics
Understanding of how to present a solution to the customer including finance
- Solution based selling. Packaging machines, finance tools and maintenance contracts to enable the salesman to not sell solely off the price list
