Objective of this Scope of Work
The main purpose of this position is to manage several projects for the Department by leading, planning, organising and controlling project activities and resources in accordance with the approved project management framework and methodologies to deliver the project scope and objectives and provide dedicated project related services to business according to specification, on time and within budget.
Scope of Services Definition
The scope will include but will not be limited to:
Define the project scope/brief and work breakdown structure (WBS) in collaboration with key stakeholders to ensure a common understanding of deliverables and the approach.
Ensure that all project documentation, deliverables and reports are produced, approved and maintained timeously, including close-out documents.
Identify and manage project risks, constraints and changes, and ensure that the project plans are managed and approved.
Establish and manage relationships with all stakeholders, role players and service providers to ensure commitment to a common goal.
Direct and coordinate the activities of project resources to ensure the project progresses according to the approved schedule and produce the expected deliverables within budget and according to specifications and quality standards.
Minimum qualification required:
A bachelor’s degree in commerce or an equivalent qualification (at NQF7 level);
A project management qualification;
Solid knowledge of the project management discipline; and
Five to eight years’ cash industry and project/programme management experience.
The following will be an added advantage:
Project management certification, such as PMP certification or PMI-approved certificate.
