Our client in the supply chain and logistic industry are seeking a demand planner. The main purpose of the position is to manage, maintain and ensure accurate customer demand forecasts, through incorporating current and accurate market information. Work closely with stakeholders to turn data information that can be used to make sound business decision. Qualification and Experience: 5-10 yearsâ€ experience in a Demand Planning role. Supply Chain and Logistics tertiary qualification preferable. Experience with ERP system an advantage. Demonstrated capability to work with cross functional teams. Demonstrated analytical and root causing capability. Experience in the consumer electronics industry would be advantageous. Highly computer literate in MS Office with advanced spreadsheet skills is essential. Understands the importance of deadlines and can work accurately and efficiently under pressure. Responsibilities: Developing and executing demand forecasts based on demand patterns, accurate market information and business trends. Predicting and forecasting customer demands and provide the supply chain with the appropriate information. Collaborating with leaders with regards to balancing stock and merchandising requirements. Develop strategies to optimize stock availability. Managing effective product phase outs and launching of new products. Minimizing overstocks and understocks. Anticipating and mitigating supply risks. Working closely with stakeholders to turn data information and knowledge that can be used to make sound business decisions. Strategic planning on various product ranges. Data validation and integrity testing.
