Contract Type: 1-Year Fixed Term Contract
Probation: 3–6 Months (depending on experience and project requirements)
Project Location: Approximately 10km west of Dealesville, Free State Province, South Africa, or such other project site as may reasonably be designated by the Client and/or Employer.
Job Overview
We are seeking a qualified Electrical Engineer to support the planning, design, installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems within a project environment. The successful candidate will ensure that all electrical works are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications and
standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, review, and oversee electrical systems and installations.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, regulations, and safety standards.
• Supervise electrical construction and commissioning activities on-site.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and project teams.
• Conduct inspections, troubleshooting, and technical evaluations.
• Review technical drawings, calculations, and electrical documentation.
• Monitor project progress, quality, and electrical performance.
• Assist with reporting, planning, and project coordination activities.
Minimum Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 3–8 years’ experience in electrical engineering within construction, mining, industrial, infrastructure, or energy projects.
• Knowledge of electrical systems, HV/LV installations, and relevant codes and standards.
• Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Professional registration with ECSA will be advantageous.
