Contract Type: 1-Year Fixed Term Contract
Probation: 3–6 Months (depending on experience and project requirements)
Project Location: Approximately 10km west of Dealesville, Free State Province, South Africa, or such other project site as may reasonably be designated by the Client and/or Employer.
Job Overview
We are looking for a skilled Civil Engineer to oversee and coordinate civil engineering activities on a large-scale project site. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring civil works are executed according to design specifications, project timelines, quality standards, and safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities
• Plan, supervise, and coordinate civil engineering and construction activities.
• Review technical drawings, designs, and project specifications.
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards, regulations, and safety requirements.
• Monitor project progress, quality, and site performance.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and project stakeholders.
• Conduct site inspections and resolve technical issues.
• Prepare reports, schedules, and project documentation.
• Support project planning, budgeting, and execution activities.
Minimum Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 3–8 years’ experience in civil engineering within construction, mining, infrastructure, or industrial projects.
• Strong understanding of civil construction methods and engineering principles.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Professional registration with ECSA will be advantageous.
