Role ResponsibilitiesThe Payroll Tax Administrator will be responsible for supporting payroll preparation and managing tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions within a global Employer of Record operating model. This role requires a strong understanding of payroll tax processes, compliance risk, and cross-border tax complexities.
You will be responsible for ensuring accurate payroll tax processing, managing tax submissions, resolving discrepancies, and supporting compliance initiatives across international markets.
DutiesManage payroll tax calculations across multiple jurisdictions
Ensure accurate gross-to-net payroll tax processing in line with country-specific requirements
Prepare and review monthly and annual payroll tax submissions
Investigate and resolve payroll tax discrepancies and reconciliation issues
Ensure the timely submission and payment of taxes and statutory contributions
Monitor legislative changes and implement relevant compliance updates
Liaise with in-country stakeholders to resolve payroll tax queries
Support internal audits and compliance reviews
Maintain accurate payroll tax records and supporting documentation
Assist with ad hoc payroll tax and compliance-related tasks
Requirements and SkillsBachelor’s Degree or equivalent qualification in Finance, Accounting, Tax, or a related field
Proven payroll and/or tax experience in multi-jurisdiction or cross-border environments
Experience managing payroll tax submissions and compliance processes
Strong understanding of tax compliance within international payroll structures
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookup functions, nested IF statements, and reconciliations
Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work effectively under strict deadlines and across multiple time zones
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Advantageous experience includes exposure to Employer of Record environments, global payroll operations, cross-border tax implications, intercompany transactions, and multi-country reconciliations.
