The Academic Administrator will be expected to assist with all administration of the national office.
Educational Requirements:
Grade 12
Diploma/Certification in Office Administration is advantageous
2-3 years of experience as office administrator or experience in similar role is required
MS Office proficient
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assisting with customer service queries
Answering telephone calls and referring inquiries
Liaise effectively with sites when required
Management of PoE storage
Manage PoE’s entering and leaving storage facility
Scheduling and minute taking of meetings and conference calls
Distribute meeting agenda, action list and minutes
Capturing of all meeting minutes
Schedule appropriate meeting times and boardroom bookings
Send meeting requests to all attendees
Create folders for each meeting on national share drive
Typing, scan, filing, maintaining and updating records
Type and PDF documents, print out and file memorandums, committee appointment letters, attendance registers of meeting and/or workshops
Maintain and update national staff register, academic and general managers list, internal telephone list
Keep evidence files of DHET annual report submitted to head office
Data capturing of credit/exemption applications
Assisting the academic team with any ad hoc tasks as the need arises
Undertake duties delegates by management
Proofread study guides and convert to PDF
Assist HET QA Manager with Campus services survey improvement plan
Upload study materials on LMS
Update template on intranet, update PDF pacers

Academic Department Coordinator (JB1922)

The Department Coordinator is responsible for full programme coordination for the portfolio of programmes in the faculty. This means coordination of programme development and curriculum reviews, assessment alignment and development, module material updates and prescribed textbook lists. The Department Coordinator will be expected to ensure academic integrity and regulatory compliance of assessments offered by the respective sited. They are to ensure that all assessments are received and distributed in accordance with DHET, CHE, UMALUSI and ETQA policy requirements and that it adheres to the policies and procedures. Responsible for ensuring that correct timetables are aligned to the academic calendar.
Educational Requirements:
At least a National Diploma with related Assessment or Education, Training and Development (ETD) exposure and experience
Relevant Degree would be an advantage
Minimum 2-3 years’ experience as an Assessor or experience in a similar role is required
Knowledge of TVET and HET, ETD, SAQA, NQF, CHE and regulatory literacy is required
Familiar with formal assessment and moderation practices, design and development, and assessment structuring advantageous
MS Office proficient
