Job Summary
Production Team Leader
We are looking for a hands-on and driven Production Team Leader to oversee daily production operations and lead a production team in a fast-paced environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring production targets are met safely, efficiently, and according to quality standards while maintaining strong discipline, teamwork, and operational control.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily production activities including sorting, baling, loading, and dispatch
- Ensure daily production and output targets are achieved
- Lead, motivate, and manage production staff on shift
- Monitor productivity, attendance, timekeeping, and discipline
- Ensure quality standards and correct material grading are maintained
- Conduct toolbox talks and daily team briefings
- Ensure all equipment is inspected and defects are reported
- Maintain health, safety, housekeeping, and environmental standards
- Complete shift reports and communicate operational issues to management
- Support continuous improvement and efficient workflow processes
Minimum Requirements:
- Previous experience in a production, manufacturing, recycling, or warehouse environment
- Supervisory or team leader experience essential
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Good understanding of production processes and productivity management
- Ability to work shifts and under pressure
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Health & Safety knowledge advantageous
