Main purpose: To plan, organise, coordinate and manage the delivery of national and strategic projects/programmes during investigations into high profile maladministration and corruption within State institutions, in accordance with predetermined standards, ensuring optimal business delivery and in support of the Multi-disciplinary approach (“MDA”) to all projects within the SIU.
Create standardisation on reporting and provide a strategic overview. Daily programme management throughout the project’s lifecycle. Managing the project's budget. Provide guidance and support to all projects and coordinate the projects and their interdependencies. Define the project governance, plan the overall program and monitor the progress.
Minimum qualification and experience: B Honours Degree in Accounting or Legal or equivalent (NQF 8). Project Management Certification. Six to eight years’ experience in Programme or Project Management, of which four years’ is at a management level. Experience in the public sector and / or Forensic Investigations will be advantageous.
Key performance areas (Include but not limited to): National and Strategic Programmes Planning. National and Strategic Programme Execution. Referral of Matters for Remedial Action. Management of Project Close-Out Activities. Development of the Project Management Area. Guidance and Mentorship to the Project Management Area. Stakeholder Management and Business Development.

Required knowledge and Behavioural (include but not limited to): In-depth knowledge of project management principles and best practice. In-depth knowledge of the investigation environment. In-depth knowledge of the applicable legislation (e.g. Criminal law, Criminal Procedure Law of Evidence, etc.). Sound knowledge of public sector legal environment. Sound knowledge of corporate governance and ethics. Knowledge of IT environment as well as financial systems and processes. Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite. Inquisitive. Team player.
