Job Summary
Key Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate the national cytology programme in line with strategic healthcare objectives.
Oversee the implementation of appropriate cytology techniques and emerging technologies.
Facilitate participation in the development and review of national policies, protocols, and clinical guidelines.
Coordinate and monitor national cervical cancer screening programmes.
Ensure high-quality, customer-focused cytology service delivery across laboratories.
Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Monitor, analyse, evaluate, and report on programme performance, trends, and challenges.
Research international developments and recommend innovative technologies and best practices.
Support the development of laboratory standards and accreditation initiatives.
Ensure compliance with relevant quality management systems and accreditation requirements.
Provide strategic advice regarding financial models and costing of cytology services.
Prepare reports and presentations for senior management and relevant stakeholders.
