The Sports Campaign Manager owns the sportsbook campaign calendar end to end ,identifying and activating commercial opportunities around major sporting moments before competitors do. This role is central to how the company shows up across football, rugby, cricket, tennis, horse racing and all key events throughout the year. We are looking for someone who combines strategic instinct with commercial edge, someone who uses the sporting calendar not just as a schedule, but as a revenue engine. The ideal candidate builds campaigns that drive acquisition and retention, spots opportunities ahead of the market and brings teams together to execute with speed and precision. This role works across Marketing, Trading, CRM, Design, Product, Brand, Digital and
Retail to bring integrated sportsbook campaigns to market quickly and effectively.
Key Responsibilities
Campaign Planning & Strategy :
• Own the sportsbook campaign calendar end to end , mapping commercial opportunities across football, rugby, cricket, tennis, horse racing and other major sporting events throughout the year.
• Proactively plan and brief campaigns ahead of key sporting moments to drive acquisition and retention, consistently moving faster than competitors.
• Develop campaign strategies aligned to business and revenue goals, balancing brand, promotions and sportsbook priorities to maximize engagement and turnover.
• Conduct ongoing competitor and market analysis to identify commercial opportunities and gaps.
• Define campaign objectives, messaging, promotional offers, audience segmentation and success metric.
Campaign Execution & Management :
• Lead sportsbook campaigns from brief through to launch, fulfillment and post -campaign review , maintaining quality and commercial standards throughout.
• Deliver campaigns across digital, social, email, SMS, app push, retail and on -site channels.
• Coordinate with creative teams to ensure assets are sharp, on - brand and ready to deploy on time.
• Manage campaign budgets and timelines with clear accountability for delivery
• Ensure campaigns are compliant and executed to the highest standard.
Performance, Insights & Optimisation :
• Track and analyze campaign performance across engagement, turnover, active customers, conversions, FTDs and ROI.
• Use data and customer insights to sharpen future campaign strategy and promotional approach.
• Develop personalised offers based on betting behaviour and segmentation
• Deliver clear post - campaign reporting with actionable recommendations.
Cross - functional Collaboration :
• Work closely with Trading to align campaigns with live betting markets and sporting calendars.
• Collaborate across Brand, Digital, CRM, Product and Retail to deliver integrated campaigns at pace.
• Present campaign performance and strategic recommendations to stakeholders and leadership.
• Liaise with agencies and external partners where required.
Innovation & Commercial Growth :
• Stay ahead of sports betting trends, competitor activity and emerging opportunities across the calendar.
• Propose new promotional ideas, campaign formats and strategic opportunities to grow the sportsbook.
• Identify workflow improvements and automation opportunities to increase campaign speed and effectiveness.
Day-to-Day Expectations
• Own multiple sportsbook campaigns simultaneously , planning ahead, executing precisely and optimizing in real time.
• Be the first to spot commercial opportunities in the sporting calendar and brief teams to act on them.
• Collaborate across Marketing, Trading, CRM, Creative and Product to bring campaigns to market quickly.
• Maintain high commercial and creative standards even at pace.
• Stay constantly aware of competitor campaigns, betting market trends and upcoming sporting moments.
Required Skills & Experience
• 3– 5 years’ experience in campaign management, marketing or promotions.
• Sports betting, gaming or entertainment industry experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of sportsbook products and major local and international sporting calendars.
• Experience with CRM platforms, analytics tools and campaign management systems.
• Excellent project management skills with proven ability to manage multiple campaigns in a fast - paced environment.
• Analytical mindset , able to interpret performance data and translate insights into commercial action.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Creative thinking, sharp attention to detail and strong commercial judgement.
