Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Quantity Surveyor with strong administrative capabilities to support our project teams. This role is ideal for an early-career professional who is eager to learn, develop technically, and grow into a more senior role over time.
The successful candidate will assist with general project administration, cost management, documentation and reporting while gaining hands-on experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Strong Admin Support to Management
- Assist with tracking project costs, variations, and expenditure
- Help prepare payment certificates, progress claims, and cost reports
- Maintain accurate records of materials, labour, and subcontractor costs
- Maintain organised project files, contracts, and cost documentation
- Capture data accurately and update spreadsheets and internal systems
- Assist with procurement administration (RFQs, supplier comparisons, records)
- Prepare reports, meeting minutes, and basic commercial summaries
- Coordinate documentation between site teams, suppliers, and management
- Work closely with senior team members
- Take ownership of tasks with increasing responsibility as skills grow
Minimum Requirements
- Tertiary Education
- 3-5 years’ experience
- Strong administrative and organisational skills
- Good numerical ability and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and basic reporting tools
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Willingness to learn and grow within the role
- Professional, reliable, and proactive attitude
