Job Summary
A leading pharmaceutical production environment is seeking an experienced Locum Pharmacist to support anti-venom manufacturing operations within a regulated production facility.
The successful candidate will oversee production activities to ensure efficient output, compliance with SAHPRA and GMP standards, and adherence to aseptic manufacturing requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee pharmaceutical production operations within a sterile manufacturing environment
- Ensure compliance with SAHPRA, GMP, OHSA, and quality standards
- Support aseptic processing and sterilization procedures
- Monitor production systems including HVAC, autoclaves, and water systems
- Assist with validations, troubleshooting, and operational efficiency initiatives
- Ensure accurate documentation and adherence to production protocols
Requirements
- B.Pharm Degree (NQF Level 8)
- Registered Pharmacist with the South African Pharmacy Council
- Minimum 5 years’ pharmaceutical manufacturing experience
- At least 1 year exposure to aseptic processing
- Strong knowledge of GMP, sterilization methods, and validation processes
- Understanding of water systems, HVAC systems, and autoclaves
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills
