An exciting opportunity is available for a qualified Information Pharmacist to join a dynamic pharmaceutical organisation on a 6-month fixed-term contract. This role is ideal for a clinically focused professional with a passion for medicines information, pharmacovigilance, medical writing, and supporting healthcare professionals through evidence-based information.
Key Responsibilities
Provide accurate, evidence-based medicines and product information to internal and external stakeholders.
Conduct literature searches, critically evaluate clinical data, and compile clinical reports and dossiers.
Support pharmacovigilance activities, including adverse event reporting and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Review and maintain Professional Information (PI), Patient Information Leaflets (PILs), and treatment guidelines.
Maintain clinical databases and information systems.
Develop and deliver educational and training material for healthcare professionals.
Keep abreast of developments within the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries.
Minimum Requirements
BSc (Pharm) or BPharm degree.
Registered as a Pharmacist with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC).
A minimum of 4 years' experience in a pharmacy practice environment (retail, hospital, or managed healthcare).
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Excellent research, analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
Knowledge of pharmacovigilance, clinical information management, and regulatory requirements will be advantageous.
