Job Summary
Our Client in the Packaging and Recycling Industry is seeking to employ a Printing Stereo / Plate - Issuer and Repairer to their team based in Port Elizabeth.
Primary objective of role: Maintain and store stereos in good condition.
Requirements:
- Grade 12.
- Qualification in Graphic Design or similar discipline (advantageous).
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in the corrugated or printing industry.
- Accurate measuring skills to size cartons for application.
- Knowledge of paper and board specifications and characteristics.
- Basic computer literacy.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Must be proactive, responsible, and reliable.
- Must be detail-oriented and able to work independently.
- Able and willing to work shifts and overtime when required.
Responsibilities, but not limited to:
- Maintain and store stereos in good condition.
- Maintain accurate system records.
- Check and clean stereos regularly.
- Provide daily feedback on the condition of stereos.
- Ensure stereos are available on time for production according to the daily schedule.
- Maintain high housekeeping standards within the department.
- Collaborate with the graphic designer on jobs and projects.
- Comply with all quality, safety, and environmental procedures.
- Work within ISO system parameters.
