We are seeking an experienced Millwright to join a leading manufacturing and production facility in Belgium. This opportunity is ideal for a hands-on maintenance professional with strong mechanical and electrical expertise who enjoys troubleshooting complex equipment, performing preventative maintenance, and improving production reliability.

• Perform independent mechanical and electrical maintenance on production machinery and plant equipment.

• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic faults.

• Carry out preventative maintenance, equipment overhauls, repairs, and machine adjustments.

• Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, manuals, and maintenance documentation.

• Identify root causes of equipment failures and implement both immediate and long-term corrective actions.

• Analyse machinery performance and recommend improvements to increase equipment reliability and efficiency.

• Assist with continuous improvement initiatives and small maintenance projects.

• Support production teams to minimise downtime and maximise productivity.

• Collaborate with external contractors and service providers when required.

• Train and mentor junior maintenance personnel.

• Assist with PLC fault finding and basic automation troubleshooting.

• Work with motors, drives, sensors, and industrial control systems.

• Qualified Millwright or relevant qualification in:

  • Electromechanics

  • Electrical Engineering

  • Industrial Maintenance

• Minimum 4–5 years' experience within a manufacturing, industrial, or production environment.

• Strong knowledge of:

  • Electrical systems (high and low voltage)

  • Motors and variable speed drives

  • Automation and control systems

  • Mechanical maintenance

  • Pneumatics and hydraulics

  • Industrial production machinery

• Experience with PLC fault finding and basic programming.

• Ability to work independently and solve complex technical problems.

• Good computer literacy and technical reporting skills.

• Must be a South African Citizen

• Basic Afrikaans proficiency is essential.

Experience using:

• Multimeters

• Insulation testers

• Current clamps

• Oscilloscopes

• PLC programming and diagnostic software

• Mechanical, hydraulic, and maintenance tools

This role requires the ability to diagnose and resolve technical breakdowns in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, often requiring practical thinking and innovative problem-solving where standard solutions may not be available.

• Salary based on experience
